I’ve taken Xanax since about 15 years. From the time I started in the year 2019, my dose was 0.75 mg. However, my doctor raised the dosage by 1.5 mg. Between the months of January and April 2021 I saw psychiatrists to reduce my dose by taking Valium. In the first month or two after quitting, I was pretty good. But, soon I was overtaken by intense, all-body shaking. The psychiatrist then reintroduced my 1.5 mg dosage.

Since since then, I’ve tried to reduce my dosage However, the experience of how challenging it was last time left me anxious. I’m now 64 and my body is feeling weaker, particularly due to the neurologic symptoms and extreme headaches I’ve had following COVID. Anyone have recommendations or tips regarding how I can approach this?
